162 Pets Get Anti Rabies Vaccine in Pegangsaan Dua

Kelapa Gading Sub-district Food Tenacity, Maritime and Agriculture Implementer Unit Head, Paina, said the vaccination was already given since May 6-8 at RPTRA and several RW offices. This program is held to maintain Jakarta's status as free-rabies city.
"The vaccination is free. Hopefully this will increase pets' immune and avoid rabies," he said, Thursday (5/9).
81 Pets in West Jakarta Get Anti Rabies VaccineAccording to him, vaccination held at RW 7 and 8 was given for 51 cats and 30 dogs, RW 12 and 15 by 17 cats and 26 dogs, and RW 17 and 22 by five cats and 33 dogs.
"Apart from providing vaccinations, we also provide vitamins for pets. Hopefully by providing vaccines and vitamins the animals and their owners will maintain their health," he added.
He continued that similar program will be held again at RW 18 and 19 offices on Monday, May 13, 2024.
The requirements for pets that can be vaccinated against rabies are at least four months old, in good health, not pregnant and not breastfeeding.
"Hopefully this service can be useful for North Jakarta residents in particular, and they will be more aware of providing vaccinations at least once a year," he continued.
Meanwhile, one of RW 15 residents, Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Refianti (42), admitted happy and appreciated the program.
"Thankfully the program is free. My pet is now healthier," she admitted.
